Money, Quotes and the $65 Off
What does "$65 off your first service" cover?
It comes straight off the price of whichever drain service you book first with us. We take it off the fixed quote before you approve it, so the saving is visible upfront rather than promised later.
How does your pricing work for drain jobs?
We don't charge by the hour. We look at the drain, say what it actually needs, and hand you a fixed price before we start. What moves that price is access, the depth of the line and what is actually causing the blockage, never how long the day runs.
How do I pay?
When the job is done and the drain is running, not before. We cover the options with you at booking time, and the amount is exactly what you signed off on at the start.
Can the price change once you start?
No. The price you approve before work begins is the price on the invoice, even if the blockage puts up more of a fight than expected. If the camera finds separate damage that needs its own repair, that gets quoted separately, and you decide.

The Paperwork Behind the Work
How experienced are you with drains?
We bring 15+ years' experience to every blockage, almost all of it earned on ageing Sydney drains and sewer lines. That sort of history teaches you where clay lines crack, how roots behave and when a cheap clear is false economy.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes: NSW Plumbing Licence #292427C, fully licensed and insured, water and gas. Nobody is offended if you ask to see the paperwork before anything starts.
What does the lifetime labour warranty cover?
Our workmanship, with no expiry date. If a repair or clear we carried out fails because of how we did it, we come back and make it right without charging you again, whether that is months later or years.
Who actually turns up?
A plumber from our own small, owner-led team, never a subcontractor you have not heard of. Drain work usually goes to the team member who specialises in drains and sewers, with the director stepping in on the complicated ones.

Response Times and Booking
What counts as a drain emergency?
Sewage surfacing at an outside gully, a toilet you cannot use, or several fixtures backing up at once. If waste is escaping, stop running water into the drain and call us straight away, whatever the hour.
Are you really open 24 hours?
Yes, genuinely. The phone is answered by a real person at any hour, and if the problem cannot wait, neither do we. Nobody rings a plumber at 3am for fun, so the response is built for it.
What happens after I call?
You describe what the drain is doing, we ask a few questions and lock in a time, often that same day. On arrival you get a proper look at the cause and a fixed price before any work starts.
How quickly can you clear a blocked drain?
Usually the same day you ring. A blocked drain is exactly the kind of job we keep room in the day for, and once it is flowing we look for the cause, so the fix holds.

The Randwick Drain Picture
Why do tree roots block so many Randwick drains?
The suburb's Federation-era streets keep two things side by side: street trees that have had a century to mature, and clay sewer lines with a joint every pipe length. Roots chase moisture to those joints, work in through the seals and thicken until waste snags on them. It is the classic blockage on the older blocks here.
Why does my drain block again after heavy rain?
Because the suburb sits on high ground, storm run-off sheds fast and reaches your stormwater line all at once instead of soaking away where it lands. A line already part-choked by roots, leaf litter or silt copes with everyday flow, then gives up under that surge. Rain does not cause the problem so much as expose it.
How local are you, really?
Local enough that this is a regular run, not a special trip. Most weeks we are somewhere between Cuthill Street and the blocks around Sydney Children's Hospital, and the same crew covers the neighbouring suburbs. That is what local means here: not a line on a map, but streets we already know from last week's jobs.
Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?
As a general rule, the private drainage on your property, up to where it meets the main, is yours to maintain, while the mains beyond that connection point belong to Sydney Water. A camera inspection shows quickly which side of that line the trouble sits on, and if it is not yours to fix, we will say so. Treat this as guidance rather than a ruling, because connection points vary between properties.
